Honeoye Falls is situated on the upper falls of Honeoye Creek approximately 15 miles Southeast of Rochester, N.Y. on Rt.65.
The village was founded in 1791 by Zebulon Norton of Connecticut. In the late 1700s and early 1800s, the village known then as Norton's Mills grew with factories and mills along the banks of the creek. A bridge had also been built to connect both sides of the village making it larger. In 1838 the village became incorporated and then would be known as Honeoye Falls.
Today the population of Honeoye Falls is about 2,600 with an excellent school system with about 2,800 students. The website for Honeoye Falls is www.villageofhoneoyefalls.org and the school's site is www.hflcsd.org.
