Lima is located in Northern Livingston Co. at the intersection of Rts. 5 & 20 and Rt. 15A approximately 15 miles south of Rochester. As per the 2000 census there is a population in the town of 4,541 with the village being 2,459. A Beautiful small town atmosphere, the village has a very active business area and the town has a large agricultural community. The village is home to the Genesee Weslyan Seminary which was one of the first co-educational schools in the country and their excellence in academics draws students from all over.
The children of Lima attend the Honeoye Falls Lima (HFL) School which is located in Honeoye Falls. An excellent school system and very desirable.
